CONNECT USA Conference Tour

A multi-city conference identity for Marvell’s first U.S. CONNECT rollout, built to scale across three venues, technical programming, and employee touchpoints.

Overview

CONNECT USA brought Marvell’s internal technical conference to the U.S. for the first time, with regional events across Irvine, Burlington, and Santa Clara. Across the full rollout, the conference tour supported 1,630 attendees, 43 technical posters, and 8 demo booths. The conference was designed to bring employees together through technical programming, workshops, demos, poster sessions, and shared community moments.

Challenge

Previously hosted only at international sites, CONNECT needed to be adapted for a U.S. audience while maintaining continuity across three different venues, attendee groups, technical programming needs, and event footprints. The challenge was to create a flexible identity system that could scale from smaller regional gatherings to a large HQ conference while still feeling cohesive.

Role

As the main designer for the tour, I led design planning and built a flexible event system across pre-event communications, arrival, wayfinding, signage, app branding, swag, technical posters, and environmental touchpoints. I also supported site visits and signage walkthroughs, working with event leads, vendors, AV, security, and cross-functional teams to make sure the design worked across both production needs and the physical attendee experience.

Impact

The final system helped establish CONNECT as a scalable U.S. conference experience across three regions. CONNECT Santa Clara became the largest stop of the tour, drawing 1,200 attendees from an approximately 2,000-person HQ audience and featuring 25 technical posters and 8 demo booths.
